Do you find that people don’t seem to understand you when you’re upset? Do you struggle to have constructive difficult conversations? Do you find yourself avoiding conflict or “exploding” when you’re angry? Would you like to learn how to have discussions rather than arguments? Conflict is an issue that everyone experiences, but few know how to manage. This group is designed to help you learn how to interact more effectively with partners, family, friends, and co-workers.
In Communicating through Conflict, you will learn:
- How to identify and communicate your feelings
- The blocking behaviours that prevent effective communication
- Active listening skills
- What you can and can’t control in an argument
- How to calmly initiate difficult conversations
This group will include psychoeducation, discussion, and active participation with role-plays. You will be encouraged to practice your skills with a real conflict each week. This group will be limited to 8 adult participants.
4 sessions (2 hour groups): $375

I am a Registered Psychologist with 9 years of group psychoeducation/therapy experience. I see therapy as a way to better understand yourself, and by doing so, improve relationships with the people in your life. My goal as a psychologist is to guide you to become your own therapist; using what you learn about yourself and relationship dynamics, you can continue to grow and improve after your last session.
