This 4-week course is designed to help individuals build and refine their communication skills for stronger, healthier, and more fulfilling relationships. Participants will learn how to express themselves clearly and confidently, navigate conflict effectively, and enhance connections in both personal and professional settings. Grounded in evidence-based practices and incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interpersonal effectiveness skills, this program offers a mix of psychoeducation, engaging role-play activities, and practical take-home assignments.
Throughout the course, participants will:
- Explore the fundamentals of active listening and develop skills to better understand others.
- Learn how to communicate assertively and advocate for their needs using proven techniques like DEAR MAN from DBT.
- Gain tools for setting and maintaining boundaries with confidence while resolving conflicts respectfully.
Each week builds on the previous one, with hands-on exercises and supportive feedback to enhance learning. By the end of the course, participants will feel more empowered to communicate authentically, reduce misunderstandings, and nurture healthier interactions with those around them.
