How Candice works with…

Children
When I work with children, I focus on making the process fun while helping them express their feelings, talk about challenges, and communicate their needs. I use active listening, play therapy, and cognitive-behavioural interventions to create a safe space for children to share their thoughts and emotions, helping them navigate difficulties and build emotional resilience.
Adolescent / Teen

When I engage with teenagers, I strive to strike a balance between structure and flexibility. I prioritize learning from them and empowering their ability to analyze information, think critically, and make informed decisions. This requires me to actively listen, skillfully question, and set attainable goals.

Parent Consultations
Parenthood can bring immense joy and fulfillment, but it also comes with unique challenges. Whether you're navigating transitions, managing stress, or seeking guidance on parenting strategies, I provide a safe space to explore your concerns without judgment. Together, we'll work to harness your strengths and build resilience, empowering you to foster a nurturing environment for yourself and your family. My goal is to help you cultivate deeper connections, enhance your parenting skills, and find balance amidst the demands of everyday life
Trauma/PTSD
As a trauma-informed therapist, I believe healing begins with safety and choice. You are the expert on your life, and therefore work to honour your safety, trust, and choice in all aspects of our therapeutic experience.
Grief
Our journeys through grief and loss are as unique as we are, and I believe it is so important to honour the bereaved. I work from a position of compassionate curiosity, focused on providing a supportive presence as we navigate together the creation of a care plan centred on your needs.
We’ll help you find the right fit.
