The journey to becoming a stepfamily goes through many stages. From dating, to getting serious, to committing to becoming a new family; the journey is often complex. In this talk we’ll explore some of the advice shared and skills recommended by experts in helping partners navigate this often tricky terrain. We’ll look at the timing of when to introduce kids to new partners, unpack the experiences of the insider and outsider, explore helpful relationship skills needed when blending families, and touch on other important aspects in the journey of becoming a stepfamily.
