Jennifer Charlicki

Registered Psychologist

There are a variety of factors that impact an individual's day-to-day life and functioning. My approach to therapy is rooted in attachment Theory, meaning that much of our present day struggles have been internalized as a result of messages we heard or experiences we’ve had. It can be quite common to feel powerless and resort to saying “things will always be this way,” and “nothing will ever change.” I can empathize with those thoughts, however it is my job to help you feel empowered and hopeful that things can change, and you can live a more fulfilled life. I utilize a combination of attachment theory with cognitive behavioral theory (CBT). Although I believe that our early upbringing heavily impacts us, I also believe that we need to spend time focusing on and understanding how you are being impacted now in the present. I utilize CBT to help you understand how your thoughts and feelings are influencing your day to day life, while also helping you process the root cause.
