I believe…

The human experience can be complex and confusing. Sometimes you need a safe environment to process and make sense of it all. To me, this is what therapy is for. An opportunity to connect with a knowledgeable, curious, and empathetic professional. Someone who can offer guidance and comfort while allowing you to take the lead and make decisions about what you want and need.

Wellness can be influenced by many factors. Including biology, life experiences, the sense of belonging you feel in the world, and the lens through which you view the world. All these things shape your beliefs, emotional reactions, your defence mechanisms, and the actions you take. As your therapist, I consider these various factors to help you process, organize, and move forward with your experience.

Finally, humans can change. This is something that I know, I’ve studied, and that I’ve witnessed in my work. I believe in you, and I believe in our teamwork.

My approach…

I aim to approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for the strength it takes to seek support. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care and attachment-focused beliefs. I often draw from evidence-based approaches like Schema Therapy, Somatic Therapies, and values-based practices like ACT.

I believe healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes it means exploring past experiences and unmet needs, and reshaping patterns that no longer serve you. At other times, it’s about building practical tools or reconnecting with the body. My role is to walk alongside you, at your pace, as we explore what healing or growth means to you. Together, we’ll aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and authentic, where your values and voice are at the center.

My background…

I have had the privilege of supporting individuals across many stages of their healing journey. From working as a youth worker with adolescents in care, serving as a therapeutic assistant, and now continuing my clinical work at Rivers Edge following my student placement here. These roles have shaped the way I show up and remain present with clients, and the value of offering practical and empowering strategies to help them move forward. At the centre of my work, I have learned that there is no one right way to live, and that each person is capable of finding their own truth and wisdom.

Teens
When working with teens, building a solid relationship built on trust, safety, and clear boundaries is key. I understand that teens may need time to open up, and I will allow them to move at the pace that is most comfortable for them. ... read more

... I may incorporate cards, board games, art, and other low-demand activities, depending on the teens’ interests. I believe that this is important for fostering comfort and building a natural feeling relationship, with a bit of fun along the way. While taking things slowly and incorporating fun is important, I am also here to foster deeper reflections and skill-building where needed. This might include helping teens make sense of their emotions, develop healthier ways of coping, improve communication skills, and build confidence in their decision-making. By combining relational safety with practical strategies, I aim to support teens in strengthening their resilience and navigating the unique challenges of adolescence with greater self-awareness and hope.

Couples
In my work with couples, my goal is to create a space grounded in curiosity, emotional safety, and honesty. A space where we explore the deeper emotional patterns and protective strategies that shape how each partner communicates, seeks connection, and responds to challenges. ... read more

My approach is informed by attachment-based thinking, which means I pay close attention to how early experiences and relational histories may shape patterns that are showing up in the present. Rather than focusing only on the content of arguments, my goal is to help couples slow down and explore the underlying emotions, meanings, and needs that often drive their stuck cycles. I hope to hold space with warmth and steadiness, while gently inviting each partner into deeper self-reflection, greater responsibility, and enhanced relational insight.

Trauma
In my work with trauma, I aim to create a safe and steady space where clients can process painful experiences at their own pace. Trauma often lives not only in our memories, but also in our bodies and relationships—shaping how we think, feel, and connect. Together, we may use approaches like EMDR, somatic work, and exploring attachment patterns to help untangle these impacts. ... read more

...I believe healing from trauma is not about erasing the past, but about reclaiming your sense of safety, connection, and choice in the present. My role is to walk beside you as you reconnect with your body, rework unhelpful patterns, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others. Each step we take will be guided by your needs, strengths, and goals, with the understanding that trauma recovery is deeply individual and always possible.

LGBTQ2+
I strive to create a space where LGBTQ2+ individuals feel seen, respected, and celebrated for who they are. I recognize that each person’s story is unique, and that identity, relationships, and community can deeply shape well-being. In our work together, my focus is on offering a safe and affirming environment where you can explore challenges, strengths, and goals without judgment.... read more

Therapy may include unpacking the impacts of societal stigma, navigating identity and relationships, or simply having a place to rest and be yourself. My role is not to define your experience, but to walk alongside you as you explore what healing, authenticity, and connection mean to you. Whether it’s processing past wounds, building resilience, or celebrating self-expression, I aim to support you with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
