Nurturing the Nurturer: Building Strength, Self-Compassion & Resilience

A workshop for parents/caregivers

Who Should Attend?

  • Parents, guardians, and family members caring for children or adults with high needs or disabilities. 

  • Professional caregivers, educators, and support workers. 

  • Anyone seeking to strengthen their resilience and self-compassion in a caregiving role.

This is a supportive, interactive workshop designed specifically for caregivers, whether you’re a parent, family member, or professional, who provide care to individuals with high needs or require high levels of support. This session is a safe space to pause, reflect, and invest in your own well-being, recognizing that caring for others begins with caring for yourself.

Program Cost: 25.00

This group is offered with only a minimal registration fee as part of River’s Edge Counselling’s commitment to community service. The registration fee is meant to ensure the spots are secured and we can accommodate as many people as possible. If the fee is prohibitive for you to attend, please ask if it can be waived.

Note: Group therapy is often covered by insurance plans. Please speak with your insurance provider to inquire if your plan will cover the cost of the group.

Once it is received, our admin team will contact you to answer any questions and confirm your registration.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for Programs

Initial Payment

When you confirm your registration with our admin team, you will pay a $25 administrative fee to secure your spot in the program. This fee is non-refundable.

Receipts

When the full program fee is charged to your credit card, we will send you a receipt by email. 

*Payments for programs are taken by credit card. If you require a different payment method, please advise our admin team.

**Group mental health programs are sometimes covered by insurance plans. Please speak with your insurance provider to inquire if your plan will cover the cost of this program. Important information to provide them will also be the designation of the group facilitator.
