I Believe:

Taking the step to seek support can be significant and I hope to support you in your journey. I believe that everyone should have access to mental health support to help guide them through challenging life moments. My role is to work alongside you, offering a non-judgmental and supportive presence throughout your journey. I will work collaboratively to explore your unique experiences and to identify your strengths. I am passionate about helping people grow and create the change they desire in their lives through the counselling experience.

My Approach:

My approach to counselling is rooted in collaboration and working together as a team. Drawing from a client-centred approach, I will provide a safe and compassionate environment that supports personal growth and well-being. My approach includes an interest in solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy and trauma informed approaches.

About Me:

I am currently pursuing my Master’s of Counselling degree at Athabasca University. My undergraduate degrees include a Bachelor of Education with a minor in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology with a major in Family Science, both from the University of Alberta. In my current role as a teacher, I have the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and their families in a supportive education environment. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors, biking, walking and gardening. I am excited to join the Rivers Edge Counselling team and look forward to working with you.
