Robin Klasson
Registered Psychologist
Many individuals seek therapy when patterns in their lives begin to interfere with their relationships, well-being, or sense of purpose. Whether you're facing persistent internal struggles or navigating a significant transition, psychotherapy offers a structured space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
I am a registered psychologist and dance movement therapist with extensive clinical experience working with adults and adolescents in individual and group therapy. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed and somatic approaches, with particular specialization in the treatment of trauma and addiction. I draw from evidence-based frameworks and current research in attachment theory, nervous system regulation, and mind-body integration.
Therapy with me emphasizes the development of internal awareness as a foundation for healing and empowerment. This includes learning to recognize and respond to bodily cues, clarify boundaries, and make choices aligned with your values. While movement can be integrated into our work as a resource for exploration and regulation, it is never required.
Clients who are ready to engage in reflective, insight-oriented work often find this approach helpful in resolving longstanding patterns, improving emotional regulation, and fostering resilience. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where therapeutic progress is possible—and sustainable.

In therapy, I support teens in developing emotional insight, grounded self-awareness, and confidence. We work together to understand personal boundaries, strengthen communication skills, and foster healthy self-esteem. I enjoy helping teens build tools for managing stress, anxiety, conflict, and social challenges in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
Some teens come to therapy because they are engaging in self-injury, using substances to cope, or experiencing thoughts of suicide. These behaviours are often signals of deeper distress. I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface while building the inner and outer resources needed for change.
I have experience supporting adolescents who are experimenting with or struggling with alcohol and other substances. Together, we can explore underlying causes, increase emotional regulation, and identify healthier ways to cope—always at a pace that feels safe and respectful for the teen.
Addictions

I have extensive experience working with individuals at various stages of recovery—from early contemplation to long-term sobriety. My approach is non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and rooted in somatic and relational practices. We can work together to understand the patterns behind your substance use, develop healthier coping strategies, and support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Whether your goal is harm reduction, abstinence, or somewhere in between, I offer a therapeutic space to explore what works for you. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Trauma
...Traumatic experiences can also lead to personal growth when you are supported to integrate and recover a secure sense of self. I use both EMDR and somatic interventions to treat symptoms and empower healing in individuals who have experienced trauma. I am experienced in working with healing from sexual traumas.
